LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - A high school from Louisville will be taking the stage with an iconic band, making it the performance of a lifetime.

Ballard High School's choir was chosen to sing with Foreigner at the Kentucky State Fair.

The students practiced Thursday for their big performance.

The choir and its director say they are more than honored to be able to sing with a famous band.

"We're so blessed to be chosen to do this. They could have chosen anyone to do this. They could have chosen professional singers, so it's cool," said student Kayla McLemore.

Ballard High School students will sing "I Want to Know What Love Is" Friday night.

Foreigner has also committed to donating $500 to Ballard High School.

The collaboration is part of a program to help restore music education in schools across the country.
