LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) - The Louisville Kickoff Luncheon turned into an American Idol audition that even former judge Simon Cowell would have enjoyed.
Team captain Lorenzo Mauldin provided the dancing while offensive tackle Jamon Brown wowed fans that gathered at the downtown Marriott with his singing ability.
Meanwhile, Louisville is ready to give its fans something to sing about as well. The team is just 18 days from the season opener against Miami. The Cardinals are ready to show their fans and the ACC what they're made of.
“We know September 1 is right around the corner,” said head coach Bobby Petrino. “We're going to work as hard as we can to get better."
The luncheon lasted about 90 minutes. Fans will have another chance to get an up close look at the team Saturday morning for the teams' 9:00 am scrimmage at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
