Suspect arraigned in fatal Terril Lane shooting

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – The fourth suspect arrested this week in connection with a shooting on Terril Lane was arraigned Saturday morning.

Bennie Thomas faces murder and burglary charges in the shooting which left one person dead, police say. Officials have identified the victim as 23-year-old Devonne King.

"He's ... a high risk of violence," a judge said in court Saturday morning. "Bond is currently set at $50,000. Sir, I'm going to enter a plea of not-guilty for you."

Louisville Metro Police previously arrested three suspects in connection to the fatal shooting that happened early Wednesday.

LMPD arrested three others in connection to the shooting that happened on Terril Lane earlier this week.

Freddie Downer Jr. and Mohammad Jawad, who are charged with murder and burglary, were arrested Wednesday.

Raquan Carmichael turned himself into police. He is charged with murder and burglary and currently behind bars on a $500,00 cash bond.
