LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Louisville councilwoman Attica Scott spent the day in Ferguson and posted pictures on Twitter.

She says she couldn't just sit back and watch everything happen on TV and social media.

So she decided to head to Missouri to support Brown's family and those peacefully protesting.

This afternoon, Scott, along with the Rev. Jesse Jackson and thousands of others, walked to the site where Brown was killed

The councilwoman says that journey was amazingly powerful and brought her to tears.

"People were joyful and peaceful and clear about demands and chanting and saying they want justice," Scott said. "They want transparency. They want accountability. And it's different when you're actually here and present to see the emotion.

Scott and a couple friends from Louisville also helped clean up a Ferguson Quik Trip convenience store hit last night by looters.
