Pot charge dismissed against U of L football player

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - A drug charge against U of L wide receiver James Quick has been dismissed.

Quick was cited in May for a marijuana possession charge at the Cardinal Town Apartments.

U of L Police said the football player handed over marijuana and a digital scale.

Quick has been participating in a marijuana education and intervention programs since he received the citation. Both sides agreed to dismiss the case, because it was his first offense.

The university will continue to drug test Quick.

University of Kentucky defensive end Jason Hatcher was also cited in the incident.
