LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Police have arrested a man and woman for possessing materials for producing meth.

Paul Corbin, 39, and Tonya Aubrey, 46, were arrested Monday afternoon in the parking lot of the Meijer store, located at 9905 Dixie Highway. Police say they first came to the scene to investigate a report of shoplifting.

Police say Corbin initially provided them with his brother's name when officers tried to confirm his identity. Police say they observed an open container of alcohol and a digital scale in plain view in the console of the suspects' vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, police say they found chemicals used to make meth in the trunk.

Aubrey allegedly told police that she did not have any drug paraphernalia on her person; however, police say they found a meth pipe inside her shirt.

Aubrey and Corbin are charged with manufacturing meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence.
