Abandoned puppy improving, gets new home

Posted: Updated:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- There's good news for the Mastiff puppy found in grave condition in the Clifton area last month.

Hank is getting adopted. The Arrow Fund says his foster family has decided to keep him.

Hank was found emaciated near Frankfort Avenue in Louisville in July. He weighed only 30 pounds, but has been getting healthier every day.

A 22-year-old New Albany woman was arrested by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office after police say she intentionally abandoned the dog. She is charged second degree cruelty to animals -- a misdemeanor -- and tampering with physical evidence, a felony.
