LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police have arrested a former Taco Bell employee after they say she facilitated a robbery.

According to an arrest report, the robbery took place on Aug. 12, just before 11:30 p.m. Police say an unidentified black male, armed with a handgun, walked into the Taco Bell on Preston Highway near Phillips Lane, confronted the manager and demanded cash. After getting the money from the cash registers, he ran away.

Police say more than one person took part in the robbery. Upon investigating, officers allegedly learned that 21-year-old Amber Poynter, an employee of the business, conspired with the suspect and assisted him by leaving the door of the lobby unlocked, giving him access to the business.

Poynter was arrested Thursday afternoon and charged with first degree robbery.
