LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a Mt. Washington man is facing robbery and kidnapping charges after he broke into a home, tied up three residents inside and robbed them.

According an arrest report, the crime took place on Aug. 3. Officers from the Hillview Police Department say 18-year-old Christian T. Williams broke into the home on Jennymac Drive, near the intersection of Mud Lane and E. Bluelick Road in Bullitt County, armed with a handgun. While inside, Williams and an accomplice allegedly corralled the three occupants of the home into a master bedroom at gunpoint, then ordered them to lie face-down on the floor while Williams duct-taped their hands, feet and mouths.

Police say Williams and his accomplice then ransacked the home, taking the occupants' cell phones, wallets, and a quarter-pound of marijuana. Williams and his accomplice then left in a vehicle that was located just down the street, driven by someone else, police say.

The three occupants of the home were left in the house, still bound, according to police.

Williams was identified as a suspect a few days later and allegedly volunteered to come to the Hillview Police Department to answer questions. According to the arrest report, he admitted to the crimes.

He was arrested Thursday afternoon and charged with first degree robbery, first degree burglary, first degree wanton endangerment, kidnapping of an adult and third degree criminal mischief.
