Metro Public Works gets the nod to continue painting bike lanes
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Metro Public Works will continue painting bike lanes around the city after the motion was approved following a Metro Public Works presentation at last night's Metro Council meeting.
Public Works spokesman Harold Adams says they've seen a good response to the bike lanes, and expect to see an even bigger increase in the number of people using them.
Adams says 4th Street between Cardinal Boulevard and Industry Road will be the next area to be striped.
The city has put in more than 48 miles of bike lanes over the past year and a half and expects to add 40 more miles over the next year.
