Louisville father arrested after allegedly leaving 2-year-old in hot car

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville father is facing felony charges after police say he left his 2-year-old son alone in a hot car over the weekend.

According to an arrest report, the incident took place just after 7:30 p.m. on Sunday in the parking lot of the Kroger on Brownsboro Road, near N. Clifton Avenue.

Police say 28-year-old Daniel L. Gnagy left his 2-year-old in a locked vehicle for 10 minutes while the heat index was in the 90s. When officers arrived, the child was allegedly "sweating profusely and seemed disoriented."

Gnagy was arrested and charged with first degree wanton endangerment and endangering the welfare of minor.
