LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Louisville Police arrested a woman, after authorities say she attempted to illegally fill a drug prescription for her pet.
Allison Paul, 36, was taken into custody on Saturday evening, after police say she called the Meijer store, located at 4500 S. Hurstbourne Pkwy in Louisville, in an attempt to fill a prescription for her pet. Authorities say Paul tried to order 120 Tramadol pills, which is often used to treat severe pain.
Police records state that the doctor that was listed on the prescription did not give consent to the prescription that Paul was trying to fill. Police say that Paul was a former employee of the veterinarian whose name was listed on the prescription. Police say Paul was not an employee of the veterinary office when she tried to phone in the prescription.
Paul is charged with engaging in a prohibited act relating to a controlled substance.
