NTSB Sanctions UPS, Pilots' Association over remarks about crash

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – The NTSB has sanctioned UPS Airlines and the Independent Pilots' Association for comments regarding last year's UPS plane crash in Birmingham.

The agency says each posted remarks online this month about pilot's rest time and whether the federal guidelines should be changed.

The NTSB says those comments violated an agreement not to speak about the ongoing investigation.

The two pilots died, when the plane from Louisville crashed at the edge of the Birmingham airport on August 14th of last year.

The NTSB will discuss its findings next month in Washington, DC.
