LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is being accepted by WDRB's Vice President and General Manager.  

Bill Lamb says he will be the latest notable to sacrifice his warmth and checkbook.  He vows to take part Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. during "WDRB in the Morning."  Lamb was pushed into the challenge by Norton Healthcare president and chief operating officer Russ Cox.

Cox called Lamb out in a video sent to WDRB. The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has raised awareness and millions of dollars for the ALS Foundation this summer.  

ALS or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease.  It is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.  To find out more,
