The #1 community site for Greeks in New England publishes new content.

Boston, MA (PRWEB) August 28, 2014

GreekBoston.com (http://www.greekboston.com/), the #1 website for Greek Americans living in the Boston Massachusetts and New England areas regions, recently launched new Greek wedding and Greek Christening sections on the website.

GreekBoston.com underwent a total redesign in March 2014, and the addition of dozens of new articles about Greek wedding and Greek Christening traditions is part of the site's ongoing commitment to provide the local Greek community with a place to celebrate the Greek language and culture, broaden social and business networks, share stories, and come together as a united and strong Greek community.

Niko Stamoulis, owner of GreekBoston.com, says, "We are very excited to be blowing out these new sections. The site has tons of great travel content, dozens of recipes, fantastic Greek music and more. But not everyone knows all the traditions surrounding Greek weddings and Christenings, and there are a lot of customs that we want to preserve for our children and future generations. These new sections are to help educate Greeks, as well as non-Greeks marrying into the Greek culture, about the traditions tied to these two very important events."

For instance, in Greek culture the shoes a bride wears on her wedding day are actually meant to be a gift from the groom. The bride has all the single members of her bridal party write their names on the bottom of her shoes to bring them luck in their own love life.

At a Greek Christening, it is technically the godparents responsibility to select the baptismal name for the child, as well as buying everything that is needed for the ceremony.
