LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- West Buechel Police have arrested two men they say stole more than $550 worth of Monster Energy drink from an area Walmart.

According to arrest reports, it happened Thursday, just after 9 p.m. at the Walmart on Bashford Manor Lane, near the intersection of Bardstown Road and Hikes Lane. Police say 28-year-old Brayden Cole Adrio and 37-year-old Jorge Medling loaded a shopping cart with $558.67 worth of Monster Energy drink, walked out of the store without paying for it and tried to load it into their vehicle.

When stopped by police, both men allegedly had drug paraphernalia typically used with heroin, including a heroin needle that police say they found in Medling's pocket.

Both men were arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking and possession of drug paraphernalia.
