Bourbon and bluegrass music draws patrons to Louisville festival

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Afternoon showers put a damper on the Bourbon and Bluegrass Festival yesterday at the Louisville Water Tower, but Sunday was a different story.

Rain and high winds caused significant damage to the equipment and tents on Saturday.

Today, though, was better, as fans flocked to the festival highlighting all that Kentucky has to offer.

"Bluegrass and bourbon are such Kentucky staples, so it makes it such a good fit," said Jennifer Washle, promotions manager at Bisig Impact Group. "Unfortunately with this event, we've struggled with weather the last couple years. But it's alright. People are coming through right now, and we expect a great attendance day today."

The festival featured a tasting tent with 28 different bourbons.

Live Bluegrass music was also played all weekend.

The event was hosted by Four Roses.
