LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Her popularity has skyrocketed the past few months.

And the song that's getting the most play keeps climbing the charts.

Her name is Meghan Trainor, and her hit song is called, "All About that Bass."

We caught up with her today at the Mercury Ballroom in Louisville.

She was there for the 98.9 Radio Now Back to School Jam.

The station held contests for people to meet the singer before her concert.

Trainor says it's her first time in the Derby City and she loves it.

The 20-year-old from Massachusetts knew a lot of girls would relate to her lyrics about body image and being a bigger size, but never thought it would be so popular this fast.

"I wanted to be the artist but like I was going to wait until I was 25 so I can handle it," Trainor said. "But I think I'm doing alright. I think I got it, and I love this approach because I can actually be myself instead of being like pop star and all dolled up and stuff."

Trainor's extended play featuring "All About that Bass".. and three other songs about loving yourself.. is set to be released on Sept. 9.
