Suspects in string of Verizon, RadioShack robberies arraigned Monday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Five arrests were made over the weekend after a string of robberies across Louisville.

Police say the five suspects either acted as "hold up man" or "look out person" in a string of robberies that began June 13.

The group targeted stores with cell phones including a RadioShack and two Verizon stores.

Brandon Rauh and Wallace Louis Junior were arraigned on first degree robbery charges Monday.

Police say they entered a Verizon store on Dixie Highway in August, rushing into the store during regular business hours with guns in hand.

Investigators say they tied an employee's hands with tape and robbed the store.

“These type of robberies where they enter the business, force employees into the back room, force them to open the back safe, that type of thing, you know, it's an extremely brazen act,” explained Lt. Jennifer Coe. “It's completely terrifying for the employees.”

Three other suspects were also arraigned Monday: 25 year old Wallecia Louis, 28 year old Stephon Craig, and 20 year old Mario Vrici.

Not guilty pleas were entered on their behalf.
