LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Customers at a southern Indiana gas station thought they were filling up their cars with gas, but instead got mostly water.

The Shell Station-Circle K on Grant Line Road, near Daisy Lane in New Albany, says heavy rains Wednesday night and early Thursday flooded its tanks.

They were not aware of the problem until the station started received complaints from customers who were having problems with their engines because of water in the gas tank.

The station, which is still open, says the problem was fixed on Thursday, and is now asking customers having engine problems to call or stop by and ask for a manager.

The company says it's dealing with insurance claims.
