Louisville Police arrest man for attempted murder and credit union armed robbery

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - LMPD arrested a man on a charge of attempted murder and an armed robbery.

Tommy Batton was arrested Friday morning by Louisville Police.

Police say that on August 29, Batton allegedly robbed the L&N Federal Credit Union, located at 3099 Breckenridge Ln., while armed with a pistol. He allegedly demanded and received cash from the business.

Police records say that a stolen handgun was found at Batton's residence during a search and a small bag of marijuana was found in his pocket.

Police say that Batton confessed to taking part in the robberies.
Batton is charged with attempted murder, first degree robbery, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana,
and receiving stolen property.
