LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Waddy, Ky. woman was arrested Saturday afternoon after police say she attacked her mom and threw kittens into the air, injuring at least one of them.

According to an arrest report, Shelby County Sheriff's deputies were called to a home on Kings Highway in Shelby County, where someone had reported a domestic violence incident. When they arrived, a woman told police that her daughter, -- 21-year-old Sarah Tipton -- had punched her in the head twice, then hit her in the head with a book.

The woman also allegedly told the deputies that Tipton had taken kittens out of a cage and was throwing them up in the air, letting them hit the ground. According to the arrest report, one kitten appeared to be injured and was not moving.

Tipton also allegedly hit the dog and threw a bird feeder at the dog.

When asked why she did these things, Tipton said she didn't know, according to the arrest report.

Tipton was taken into custody and charged with fourth degree assault and cruelty to animals.
