LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An attorney for a Louisville Metro Police officer arrested after a fight with his girlfriend pleaded not-guilty on his behalf Wednesday morning.

Police say Christopher Cowan and his girlfriend got into a fight at Stooges Bar on Saturday. As Cowan was leaving, she followed him out to get her car keys. According to the complaint, Cowan threw her keys out the door.

While she looked for the keys, police say he backed out of the parking lot, hitting her with the car.

Cowan has been ordered to have no contact with the woman. He's been placed on administrative reassignment and his police powers are suspended.
