Reports allege drugs, underage drinking and health code violations at Cahoots

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Drugs, underage drinking and violating health statutes: those are just some of the details emerging about what led to a police raid at a Bardstown Road bar.

Controversial video was shared via social media. In it, you see Louisville Metro Police ordering customers at Cahoots to stay put. No one was allowed to leave the bar until they were frisked.

Some questioned the legality of the move.

However, according to police reports, LMPD officers took the action in conjunction with Alcohol Beverage Control officers following a controlled buy of cocaine. During the raid, police say they also discovered a minor drinking and ashtrays inside Cahoots, which violates the city's smoking ban.

The business was cited for failure to maintain health standards, sale of alcohol to a minor, and for having controlled substances on the premises.

A hearing on the case will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 28.
