LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Fire crews responded to flames at a Tumbleweed restaurant in Salem, Indiana on Sunday morning after it caught fire.

Salem Fire Chief Tom Day told WDRB News that the restaurant has been completely destroyed.

The fire was reported around 2:30 Sunday morning by a Salem Police officer. Chief Day said the fire had been burning for about 30 minutes before it was reported.

The fire is believed to have started in the restaurant's attic area.


No word has been given on an official cause for the fire. Chief Day said that electrical work had recently been completed at the restaurant.

The restaurant is located in the area of North Water Street and East Hackberry Street.

Chief Day said no one was injured.
