LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Shively Police arrested a woman who they say struck a school bus while she was driving under the influence of drugs.

Annett Wilbert, 52, was arrested on Tuesday afternoon on Dixie Highway at Bachman Avenue, after she struck JCPS bus # 0296, causing an accident, according to police records. The bus was filled with students from Iroquois High School.

Police say that Wilbert told them she did not see that the bus was stopped. Police documents state that the driver of the bus said he was stopped with caution flashers and the bus' stop sign activated when the bus was hit.

JCPS spokesperson Ben Jackey said one student suffered a minor injury stemming from the accident.

Authorities say Wilbert's speech was slurred when she spoke with police. Wilbert admitted to authorities that she had taken Phenergan and two Vicodin earlier in the day. Police say she was not able to complete field sobriety tests while at the scene.

Wilbert is charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. She is being held on a $5,000 bond.
