Kentucky State Police wants your unused prescription meds

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- You can hand over your unused medicine to Kentucky State Police.

The statewide program is aimed at reducing prescription pill abuse. Kentucky State Police are working with the Drug Enforcement Administration, trying to remove potentially dangerous pills from home medicine cabinets.

Unused or outdated prescription medications will be properly disposed of.

The Prescription Pill Take Back initiative is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at state police posts across Kentucky.
