LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man already charged with 18 counts of burglary is called back before a judge.

49-year-old Kevin Lee Underwood returned to court Wednesday to face additional charges.

Police say he was caught breaking into a Highlands home after the homeowner came face-to-face with him in her bedroom.

They also say Underwood admitted to as many as 50 similar crimes in Crescent Hill, near Churchill Downs, and near Audubon Park.

He was charged with 14 counts of burglary in the 2nd degree Wednesday.

Police say more than a dozen additional charges are expected.

His bond was set at $50,000.
