LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A national logistics company that's responsible for thousands of jobs in the U.S. is expected to add more in Louisville.

Total Quality Logistics celebrated its growth with the help of Governor Steve Beshear and Louisville mayor Greg Fischer.

TQL is the nation's second largest freight brokerage firm and is expected to add 50 more jobs in the area and invest $800,000 into a project to create jobs. The company is moving into a 14,000-square-foot office on South Fourth Street.

“I think at the end of the day what people care about is creating jobs and helping the economy grow and we're in a fortunate position at TQL to do that,” executive VP Kerry Byrne said. “So, it's exciting for us to be recognized for these type of expansions.”

TQL deals with about 10,000 customers per year delivering more than 800,000 shipments across the country.
