LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police in St. Matthews have accused a man of stealing a woman's wallet from a hospital sometime in late August.

According to the arrest report, 36-year-old Robert Anderson was charged on Sept. 24 after the victim reported that her credit and debit cards were used at several businesses around the city on Aug. 29.

The wallet was taken from Brook Hospital on Browns Lane near Dupont Circle. It wasn't clear if the victim was a patient or employee.

St. Matthews Police say Anderson deposited two stolen checks -- one for $299 and one for $280 -- in the victim's Fifth Third Bank account, then withdrew the money.

Police say surveillance video from the ATM camera at the bank's location at Fourth and Central shows Anderson accessing the victim's account.

Anderson, who was already in jail for an unrelated matter, was charged on Sept. 24. He is charged with three counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument and one count of theft by deception.
