Sons of the American Revolution Society cuts ribbon on Museum Row headquarters

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution cut the ribbon on its headquarters Friday, to celebrate the next phase of its expansion on Museum Row.

That will include a 40,000 square foot site, an interactive museum, open gallery, and reception area.

“I think we're gonna have a major resource that will serve as a great educational tool and as a great inspirational tool as well - not just for young people but for all of us, so congratulations to SAR. Thank you very much for choosing Louisville, we're thrilled that you're here.”

The Sons of the American Revolution is a national organization, headquartered in Louisville since 1979.

It moved to Museum Row in 2011.
