LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A robbery at a Bardstown Road coffee shop leads to an arrest in seven other Louisville robberies.

Police say Keith M. Owens, 49, walked into Day's Espresso and Coffee around 10 p.m. Saturday, displayed a gun, and demanded cash. According to police, employees handed over an undisclosed amount of money, and Owens took off.

Thanks to witness description of his car, Owens was pulled over and arrested a short time later.

According to police, Owens had several pieces of evidence in the car that linked him to seven other robberies in Louisville.

Owens is now being held at Metro Corrections, and faces eight charges of robbery.

According to the police report, the robberies started September 17, 2014 and lasted less than two weeks. Owen's first robbery was at the Speedway Oil on Taylorsville Road. He then hit the Blossom Shop on Bardstown Road, the Graeter's Ice Cream shops on both Breckenridge Lane and Bardstown Road, Mimosa Cafe in the Highlands, Barbara Lee's Kitchen on Brownsboro Road, and Speedway Oil on Bardstown Road.
