LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they've arrested a man after he allegedly imprisoned a woman in a home for three days and raped her.

According to an arrest report, the incident took place on Sept. 14.

Police say 49-year-old Juan Lavelle Offutt went to a home on Normie Lane, near the interchange between I-65 and the Gene Snyder Freeway, and forced the female occupant into a 2004 Chevy SSR at gunpoint.

Offutt then allegedly drove her to another home on Saddlebrook Lane, near the intersection of Rockford Lane and Cane Run Road, where he imprisoned her for three days. During this time period, he allegedly raped the woman.

Police arrested Offutt early Sunday morning, just after midnight, at the corner of 26th Street and W. Broadway, after he was allegedly seen driving the 2004 Chevy SSR, which had been reported stolen.

Offutt has been charged with robbery, rape, unlawful imprisonment and receipt of stolen property. He is currently being housed at Louisville Metro Corrections.
