LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Eight cases of the enterovirus have now been confirmed in Kentucky and two of them are in Jefferson County.

The good news is that doctors say the peak season for the virus is now over and cases of the D68 strain are dwindling.

Close to 500 people have gotten sick from the virus nationwide, almost all have been children.

19 cases of a rare virus have sprung up in Indiana.

Greater Clark County Schools sent a letter to parents about the virus last month
