Newest Louisville music festival attracts large crowds

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Thousands of people came out to Champions Park on Saturday for Louisville's newest music festival.

Louder than Life featured more than 30 hard rock bands, local music, bourbon and "gourmet man food."

Several celebrity chefs are also on hand to whip up dishes for festival-goers.

With headliners like Kid Rock, Korn and Stone Temple Pilots, the festival is making a big statement in just its first year.

"Evidently, something like this has this big of a turnout, so it can only get better from here," Kayla Davis said. "It's almost overwhelming how many different bands are here."

The large crowds managed to stall traffic for much of the day around Zorn Avenue.

The festival continues through Sunday night.
