Christians gather at Waterfront Park to pray for Louisville

Posted: Updated:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Christians came out to Waterfront Park on Sunday to pray for peace in the city of Louisville.

God Transform My City invites Christians from all denominations and churches to their annual prayer walk.

Walkers discussed different prayer topics throughout the event and various church groups provided music and worship.

Participants say it's time to take a stand and bring peace into the city.

"That's our prayer for Louisville, Kentucky," said Mark Pfeifer of God Transform My City. "We are sick of all the violence. We're sick of all the killing - all the stuff that's going on. We're praying that God will heal our land."

In addition to the yearly walk, God Transform My City prays weekly for guidance and blessings in Louisville.
