LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man was arrested after authorities say he tried to get through the metal detectors at the Jefferson County Hall of Justice with several bags of suspected marijuana.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, 22-year-old Matthew Johnson actually activated the alarms on the metal detectors several times when he passed through them at the courthouse on the corner of 6th and Jefferson Saturday evening. When he was asked to empty his pockets into a basket, he "became nervous and started to sweat," refusing to do so, an arrest report states.

The sheriff's deputy then began to pat him down, and he allegedly "became aggressive," at which point he was taken into custody and searched. Deputies allegedly found several individually wrapped bags of a "green leafy substance believed to be marijuana."

Johnson was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
