Louisville teen arrested for stealing lottery tickets from employer

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - A Louisville teen was arrested after police say he stole lottery tickets, while he was employed at a gas station.

Marcus West, 19, was arrested on Saturday morning in the 4200 block of Norene Lane, near Poplar Level Road, after LMPD said he stole lottery tickets from the Speedway store, located at 7933 Fegenbush Lane. Police records state that West an employee at the store.

Louisville Metro Police say West stole tickets from the store from Sept. 3 through Sept. 6. Police state that the thefts were recorded on surveillance video.

Police say that Kentucky Lottery officials confirmed that West cashed in the stolen lottery tickets.

West is charged with theft.
