LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky-based soldiers are on the ground in Liberia helping fight Ebola.

The commander of the Army's 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell says even more soldiers will be there next week to build treatment centers and begin training medical personnel.

In total, three-to-four thousand soldiers will be going to Liberia.

Soldiers went through two days of training with professionals from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and others to learn about the Ebola threat.

The soldiers are also being told not to shake hands with people in Liberia and to wash their hands frequently.
