LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville-based Southeast Christian Church -- one of the largest churches in North America -- will hold the first service in its new southwest campus on Oct. 26, according to a news release.

Located at 8301 St. Andrews Church Road, off Dixie Highway in southwest Louisville, the 55,000 square foot campus will seat 1,200 in the sanctuary. Additionally, the building will include classrooms, a nursery, a cafe and office space.

Christian Academy's southwest campus is located adjacent to the church -- and will share resources with it -- but will operate independently.

"As a church, we want to connect with our neighbors -- to expand our family by coming alongside people where they are -- in this case, the southwest area of Louisville," said executive pastor Tim Hester, according to the news release.

"For months now, we have been meeting new people and watching the interest of the southwest campus community grow," said James Houser, pastor the the new southwest campus. "Now, in just a matter of days, we can finally come together as a family to move into our new home. God has brought everything together in His perfect timing just as He promised. We are eagerly anticipating worshiping with our friends and neighbors from all across southwest Jefferson County.

Southeast Christian Church has four campus locations: one on Blankenbaker Parkway in Louisville, one in Oldham County on Crestwood Station Road, one in southern Indiana on Charlestown New Albany Road and the new campus in southwest Louisville.
