LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Musical acts filled The Monkey Wrench on Sunday in memory of the 12-year-old boy murdered in Cherokee Park.

From noon to midnight, 12 hours of music is being played for Ray Etheridge.

Twenty-two different acts acts are honoring his 12 years of life.

Musician Danny Flanigan has a son the same age as Etheridge and says it's a tough loss for the community.

"We didn't want what happened to Ray to be the last word," Flanigan said. "The last word is that we care, that everyone cares. People that don't even know him cares."

Donations from the event will go toward the Etheridge family through the Let the Kids Grow Foundation.

The man who killed Etheridge, Joseph Cambron, is expected in court on Monday.
