Vigil held one year after woman was murdered in Russell neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Friends and family gathered Sunday in Louisville's Russell neighborhood to remember a woman who died on this day last year.

Antoinette Finch, 32, was shot and killed at 29th and West Madison Streets.

Family members say that Antoinette and a group of women were arguing when they began threatening each other's children.

Antoinette's sister says she was loved by everyone, and they all just want justice going forward.

"We're here wanting everybody to know that Antoinette was a special person," Tracy Finch said. "And it was tragic the way she was taken away from us. But she's still loved, and we will celebrate her from this point on in this way."

Rickita Glass, 18, has been arrested in the murder.

The next court date is scheduled for Oct. 20.
