LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Police have arrested a Louisville man after they say he stole multiple firearms. Officials say one of the weapons was worth several thousand dollars.

Deshawn White, 21, was arrested at U of L Hospital Wednesday night, after authorities say that White and an accomplice stole three weapons from a residence on May 15. Police say one of the weapons was a rare Colt 903, with a value of more than $10,000. The suspects also stole two Ruger rifles that were worth more than $1,000 each, according to police records.

Police allege that White and the accomplice were friends with the victim's son and took the guns during a visit to the victim's home. Police say that the victim's son discovered that the suspects had forced open a gun cabinet and stolen the weapons.

Police records say they victim's son contacted the suspects by phone. He was told by White's accomplice that the guns could be purchased for $1,000 each.

Police arrested White and charged him with three counts of firearm theft. He is being held on a $30,000 cash bond.
