LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Louisville Metro Police arrested a woman, after they allege that she stole money from her place of employment.

Vanessa Moon, 59, was arrested Tuesday morning at the intersection of Farnsley Road and Cane Run Road, after authorities say she stole $1,500 from a Walmart store, according to police records. Moon was employed at the Walmart Store, located at 3706 Diann Marie Road, near the area of Westport Road and Chamberlain Lane.

Police records state that Moon stole the money on Aug. 27 for her own personal use.

Police say that staff members at the Walmart store found Moon's cash drawer balance was short. Police say that Moon was captured on store surveillance video taking the money from the register.

Moon is charged with theft.
