Student arrested after threat allegedly made against U of L's Miller Hall

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- One student has been arrested after allegedly posting a threat against U of L students on an online message board, according to University of Louisville spokesperson Mark Hebert.

The threat, allegedly posted by 18-year-old Charles E. Robb, stated that, "I'm going to shoot up University of Louisville's Miller hall tomorrow at 10AM. I'm tired of the staffs disrespect and their abuse. I'm pretty high on amphetamines and cough syrup right now and might pass out, but any /b/ros steer clear, or my Mossberg might bite you."

Hebert said a student saw the post on the message board and alerted authorities.

Despite initial reports from the U of L Housing Authority that the freshman hall was evacuated, Hebert said no such evacuation took place. Instead, representatives of U of L Police, along with Louisville Metro Police, entered the hall and arrested Robb.

According to U of L's website, Miller Hall is a co-ed facility that houses approximately 295 first-year students in two separate wings.

"I think the message to everybody -- including our students -- is, your words have consequences," said Hebert. "Even if you're high, drunk, really mad, and you go post something on Facebook or some other social media site that says, 'I'm going to shoot up Miller Hall, I'm going to blow up something.' Those words have consequences."
