911 calls released in case of woman found in trunk

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The 911 calls from the day a woman was found in the trunk of a car in Old Louisville have been released.

The woman initially told police that she was kidnapped and held against her will for 3 days before she was found on September 29th in the trunk of a car at 3rd and St. Catherine.

The woman is identified as 45 year-old Aundrea Stone, who family members had reported missing days before.

People passing by said they heard tapping from the trunk and called police.

"There's a woman in the trunk right here," one caller said.

"Have you talked to her," the dispatcher asked?

"Yes, she's talking through trunk. We can't let her out. I don't know what happened. We just walking past and we heard somebody beating," the caller replied.

"So, what did she say," asked the dispatcher?

"She said she can't breathe," the woman tells the 911 operator.

During another phone call, the dispatcher asks a caller if someone is banging inside the vehicle.

"Yes, but they're not yelling like help, help or nothing. I don't know if it's a joke or what," the caller replied.

Some callers used a brick to break the car window and unlock the trunk.

The woman told officers she was abducted from a convenience store a few days before by a white man in his 30's, wearing a hoodie.

She claims the man made her drive him around Louisville and southern Indiana for a couple of days.

Police have not yet made any arrests.

When asked if Stone has been back in to speak with police since this incident, Sgt. Phil Russell with LMPD says "There are still a lot of unanswered questions that they have been trying to get from her and they hope she will provide that to them in the future."

Police tell us this is still an ongoing investigation.
