LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An 84-year-old Lockport, Kentucky man was arrested at a Walmart in Shelbyville after authorities say he sexually abused a child there.

According to an arrest report, it happened at the Walmart on Taylorsville Road, near the intersection of Midland Trail, just after 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

The Shelby County Sheriff's Office states that Alexander Fisher was at the Walmart when he approached a 10-year-old girl and her mother. Deputies say he was talking to the child and trying to "pick her up," stating that he "needed a good woman."

When the girl's mother told him to leave her alone, he allegedly hugged the girl and kissed her on the cheek.

According to the arrest report, he left, but returned a short time later; that's when he allegedly patted the girl on her rear and told her that she wanted to be "a good girl, not a bad girl."

"He subjected her to sexual contact that she was not capable of consenting to," the report states.

A short time later, the girl's father confronted Fisher in the parking lot, and 911 was called.

According to the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, Fisher's pants were unzipped when deputies approached him. He allegedly struggled briefly before he was arrested.

Fisher is charged with first degree sexual abuse of a victim under 12, and resisting arrest.
