LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Louisville Metro Police arrested a man who they say assaulted his wife during a domestic violence incident.

Mark Breslin, 31, was arrested on Sunday morning, a little after 1 a.m. in the 2300 block of Douglass Blvd., near Carolina Avenue, in the area of Seneca Gardens, after police say Breslin's wife told them that he used his hands and a cord to choke her to until she lost consciousness.

Police records state that Breslin also struck his wife's face and body with his fists.

Police say the victim sustained a large mark on her neck as a result of the assault.
