Disfigured Louisville boy getting closer to realizing Disney World dream

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville boy with a disfiguring condition is getting closer to his dream of going to Disney World. This past weekend, Aleazia Caldwell taped a segment with gospel legend Bobby Jones, which will air at a later date on BET.

Friends say Aleazia wowed the Bobby Jones audience with his killer dance moves. Aleazia's mentor, Sonny Fishback, has already helped raise money in Louisville, but hopes the segment will bring in more funds to send the 11-year-old to Disney World.

"We included him in our act, and man, this little guy when he got to the dance and stuff like that, he brought the house down. they started tweeting it across the nation about this supposed to be terminally ill kid with this rare disease," Fishback said.

Aleazia's condition, cystic hygroma, leaves his face full of tumors and in the hospital often. Fishback says tax exempt donations can be made to Jubilee Christian Outreach by visiting turnrightkeepstraight.com and clicking on "contact us."

For more information about donations, contact Sonny Fishback at sonny.fishback@twc.com. They will need a special handicap van or other vehicle to travel to Disney World.

A hotel near Disney World is taking care of room stays.
