LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - LMPD arrested six suspects after they say the suspects were found at a home with meth and heroin.

Christopher Hughes, 33, James Anthony Wright, 49, Brandi Kennedy, 31, Donald Wayne Hagan, 41, Michelle Burger, 34, and Donald Nichols, 28, were arrested Tuesday night near Frost Middle School and Dixie Highway.

Police say Kennedy, who resides at the location, gave them consent to search the home. They also say Nichols, another resident, hid in the attic of the home when they arrived.

Police say Wright was found in a bedroom of the home, along with meth that was located during the police's search of the residence.

Authorities uncovered meth, heroin, and a Xanax pill during a search of the residence, according to police records. Police say they also found a large amount of money in the attic during the search.

Police say they located a meth pipe and a Remington 870 shotgun that had the serial number scratched off during a search of Hughes' vehicle.

Police have charged each of the suspects with possession of a controlled substance.

Wright, Nichols, Hagan and Kennedy are charged with drug trafficking. Hughes faces additional charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a defaced firearm.
